Being a parent/guardian is never easy, and being the parent/guardian of someone with disabilities is certainly challenging. There are many resources available in the community who understand what you are experiencing and are able to help you. The Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities is here for you whether your child is enrolled in Stark DD services or not.
It is vital to recognize that every individual with developmental disabilities is different and there are specific supports and programs available for people at each level of functioning.
