We understand that finding a job can be difficult, especially for people with disabilities. Our team can link you with resources and supports that can assist you with the job application process, finding and securing transportation, accessibility, and accommodations to make sure that everyone has equal opportunities to work in the community.

Stark DD’s team is focused on creating meaningful connections, not just jobs.

Our team works with agencies like Employment First and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) to help you find the perfect employment match in our community. Our goal is to help you discover your potential and achieve your dreams.

Let's work together to explore opportunities and find the perfect match for you.

Find a Care Provider

Finding the right care providers is crucial for ensuring quality support tailored to the needs of each person.

The provider search tool is designed to assist you in this process. By using these databases, you can discover certified providers in your local area who are best suited to meet your specific requirements.

It's a handy resource to help you make informed decisions and ensure that you receive the highest quality of care that aligns with your unique needs. Simply put, it's a tool to help you find the perfect match for your personalized care and support.

Role of SSA

A Service and Support Administrator (SSA) is like a personal guide and advocate for people with developmental disabilities.

SSAs go beyond just coordinating services; they are advocates, safeguarding the rights, interests, and choices of eligible individuals. They keep a close eye on agencies and organizations providing services to those with developmental disabilities, ensuring high standards of care.

In their role, SSAs address various aspects, including identifying individual and family concerns, important outcomes, needed resources, and personal strengths. They assist in creating personalized plans, connecting with service providers, and coordinating various support services. They work to maintain and enhance health, safety, and welfare, especially during critical life transitions like moving from school to adulthood.
Essentially, an SSA is a crucial ally in the journey toward independence and fulfillment.

Funding and Services

Curious about how Stark DD ensures you receive the tailored support you deserve?

It's all about strategic planning and making the most of available resources to empower you on your unique journey.

Medicaid waivers provide funding that helps pay for services supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. These services can include things like assistance for those living on their own, with family, roommates, or with a provider through Ohio Shared Living. The waivers make it possible to cover the costs and ensure that everyone gets the support they need, no matter where they live.

There are three distinct types of waivers—Individual Options (I/O), Self-Empowered Life Funding (SELF Waiver), and Level One Waiver—each with varying funding levels and requirements.

This funding model helps us maximize the use of our local levy funds and ensure that we can serve as many people as possible within our limited budget. When an individual receives a waiver, it means that we will provide funding for their lifetime.

If you have any questions regarding your situation, you can contact your dedicated Service and Support Administrator (SSA). For more details on Waivers, go to the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities website
